In this video,
joins me from the woods in the German mountains to talk about what exists at the fundamental levels of reality. It was an interesting conversation because Alex and I agree on a lot, but then diverge enormously in some places.Alex, who identifies as a neutral monist, believes things like representations and intentions need to be baked into reality at the most fundamental level. I, as a materialist, see these as complex processes arising from many interacting parts. We talk through these different views and try to come to grips with where our disagreements are.
What about you, dear listener/watcher/reader, who do you agree with? Is materialism enough?
